Description

One hour lesson discussing the importance of creating a consistent disciplinary process after a positive investigative finding. The lesson teaches different alternatives for deciding discipline and discusses their pros and cons.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

During this lesson, students will learn to:

1. Articulate and define the discipline process in the misconduct policy.

2. Make consistent disciplinary decisions based on the totality of circumstances for each case.

3. Understand the danger of giving special treatment to individuals based on their position or influence.

4. Decide which model will most effectively work for their organization.

5. Identify the value of impact and mitigation statements.
